Skip mall madness & buy from a mompreneur!

Moms are creating successful businesses every day in this country, and a lot of them are doing it right out of their home. The number of women-owned businesses has jumped 44% over the past decade, and moms have played a big role in making that happen.

We’re talking about moms like Brandi Temple, founder of Lolly Wolly Doodle. Brandi started out by making children’s clothing in her garage, and her company is now the largest business in the world transacting on Facebook. Lolly Wolly Doodle now has more than 400,000 Facebook fans and the company employs more than 100 people in Lexington, N.C.

Ali Krebs is the founder of Posh Mommy, a jewelry line geared toward moms. She’s making mommy necklaces hip and hot! Ali recently shared her story with us on Making it in America.

Mompreneur Jessica Kim wanted to give her kids more than a toy when she gave them a gift, she wanted them to have fun learning and spending quality time together. So Jessica launched BabbaCo about a year ago. Her businesses took off with something known as the BabbaBox, which is an activity-filled box subscribers receive every month full of everything you need for a fun, educational activity to do with your kids!
